အောက်မှာ မြန်မာလို ပါတယ်နော်
We’re really worried about this leaf burning here in Yangon. It’s wrecking our health, and is really bad for the environment.
We are composting huge amounts of dry leaves at our bokashi yard, but we can always use more.
At the moment we’re picking up dry leaves in the Golden Valley area once or twice a week. (We’ll provide rice sacks but ask you to bag them and help us pay for transport)
It’s a small start, but its a start!
We want to really get people talking about this mess we’re making!

ဟောဒီရန်ကုန်မှာ သစ်ရွက်ခြောက်တွေ မီးရှို့နေတာနဲ့ပက်သက်ပြီး ကျမတို့ အလွန်စိုးရိမ်မိပါတယ်။ ဒါဟာ သဘာဝပတ်ဝန်းကျင်အတွက်လည်းဆိုးရွားသလို၊ ကျမတို့လူသားတွေရဲ့ ကျန်းမာရေးကိုလည်း ပျက်ဆီးစေနိုင်ပါတယ်။
သစ်ရွက်ခြောက်ပမာဏအမြောက်အများကို ကျမတို့ဘိုကာရှီခြံမှာ မြေဆွေးပြုလုပ်ကြပါတယ်။ နောက်ထပ်လဲအများကြီး သုံးစွဲနိုင်ပါသေးတယ်။
လတ်တလောတော့ ရွှေတောင်ကြားဧရိယာတဝိုက်ကနေ တပတ်တကြိမ် နှစ်ကြိမ်လောက် သစ်ရွက်ခြောက်တွေ သွားသယ်ယူဖြစ်ကြပါတယ်။ ( ကျမတို့က ဆန်အိတ်ခွံတွေပေးနိုင်ပါတယ်။ မိတ်ဆွေတို့ကို သစ်ရွက်ခြောက်တွေအိတ်ထဲထည့်ပေးဖို့နဲ့ သယ်ယူပို့ဆောင်ခ ကူညီပေးပေးဖို့ မေတ္တာရပ်ပါတယ်။) ဒါဟာ ခပ်သေးသေးလေးဖြစ်ပေမယ့် အစတော့ အစပါပဲ။
ဒီလိုအရှုပ်ထုတ်တွေနဲ့ပက်သက်ပြီး ကျမတို့ဆောင်ရွက်ပေးနေသမျှကိုလည်း လူတွေများနိုင်သမျှ များများသိစေချင် ရောက်စေချင်ပါတယ်။
အခု ကျမတို့ ပြုလုပ်ထားတဲ့ ဒီလက်ကမ်းစာဆောင်လေးတွေနှစ်သက်တယ်ဆို သို့ မိတ်ဆွေတွေနဲ့မျှဝေပေးချင်တယ်ဆို ကျမတို့ကို ပြောပါ။ ဒါမှမဟုတ်လည်း တောင်သူလယ်သမားဈေးကို လာပြီး ယူလှည့်ပါ။
ကိုယ်တိုင်မြေဆွေးလုပ်နည်းသိချင်ရင်လဲ ကျမတို့မှာ အကြံညဏ်ကောင်းတွေရှိပါတယ်။ မေးစမ်း ပြောဆို ဆွေးနွေးကြည့်ပါ။

Make a leaf cage
Compact your leaves in a net cage, add soil, and water often.
Best spot: under a tree!

Feed your garden
Crush your dry leaves, add to your garden beds and water. Your plants will love it!
We usually call this “making a leaf soup” because kids enjoy doing it so much when they come to visit us. Make it a fun project for them and they will learn at the same time as they feed the trees and plants around them.
Make a compost
Layer green garden waste with brown leaves, add soil and water!

If you can’t handle the leaves by yourself, we can compost them for you in our bokashi yard. We just ask you to help pay for transport. Less burning, and good for the environment!
