How to use bokashi

It’s easy to get started with bokashi. In your apartment, in your home, your office or your restaurant.

We’re here to help you make great soil from your food scraps at home or work. The process is basically the same whether you’re doing it on a balcony, in a garden, or on a farm. But we’ve worked out some different methods that make it easy for you to get started. Apartment or home

Bokashi works really well in apartments and all kinds of normal homes. It’s great if you have a balcony or a garden, but you can also make soil and grow plants in containers.

Large garden

Large gardens create a lot of brown leaves and other garden waste. Learn how you can combine these with your food waste bokashi to greatly reduce your trash and increase the fertility in your garden.

Hotel or restaurant

We run a food waste collection service for hotels and restaurants in Yangon. If your hotel has a garden, we can help you create a kitchen garden and set up a bokashi system for your food waste.

Community or school

Bokashi works really well in schools, monasteries, meditation centers and other types of local community. All you need is food waste and a garden!

Local wet market

Everywhere there is a wet market, there is a chance to start a bokashi yard and use the valuable organic waste to make quick and odour-free compost close by.
