These gorgeous kids are collecting plastic bottles off the street: recycling Yangon style. They drop them in to a local depot where they get paid. A tiny amount of money by our standards, but here every little bit helps.
We tagged along with them to see the rest of the process and ended up getting invited to lunch at the local Indian temple.
Interesting to see these systems at work; there are many layers in a society that you don’t see till you look a bit deeper.
